Ben Gvir to Netanyahu: If the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army does not change his advisors, he should be replaced

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir entered the line of conflict and tension between Defense Minister Israel Katz and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir regarding senior military appointments.
Ben Gvir said on Wednesday: "When you see the close associates of the Chief of Staff, it becomes clear to you his hesitant position and why he strongly opposes our plan to occupy Gaza."
The Security Minister added: "These are surrendering people.. If the Chief of Staff does not take action and get rid of his extreme leftist political team, I call on the Prime Minister to immediately appoint a replacement for him, a candidate who seeks to win and not a candidate who works with his advisors to undermine political leadership."
Ben Gvir's statements came after a report broadcast by the 'Kan' channel on Tuesday defined Zamir's 'close circle' as a group of senior former officials, including former Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi, the former head of operations in the Israel Defense Forces Israel Zeif, and former army spokesman Avi Benayahu, all of whom are critics of the government.
