Belgium Calls for Investigation into Government Funding of Associations Linked to the Muslim Brotherhood

In recent months, the Muslim Brotherhood has faced consecutive blows as European countries have begun scrutinizing the activities of associations under the umbrella of the group classified as terrorist in several countries.
In the latest episode of confronting the Muslim Brotherhood's activities in Europe, Federal Deputy for the liberal "Reformist Movement" party, Denis Ducarme, demanded the urgent formation of a parliamentary investigative committee regarding the public authorities' funding of organizations suspected of being affiliated with the group, including the association "Gathering for Integration and Combating Islamophobia in Belgium".
An intelligence report issued by the Belgian State Security Service earlier revealed that the "Gathering for Integration" association, founded in 2014, is the main propaganda arm of the Brotherhood within Belgian territory, working on disseminating their intellectual narratives and normalizing their presence in the public sphere under the guise of defending identity and combating discrimination.
