Before the Midterm Elections.. Trump Seeks to Eliminate Mail-in Voting
US President Donald Trump announced today, Monday, that he will lead a "movement to eliminate mail-in voting".

In a post on the "Truth Social" platform, Trump said: "I will lead a movement to eliminate mail-in voting, while at the same time eliminating inaccurate, extremely costly, and controversial voting machines that cost ten times the price of precise and advanced watermark paper, which is faster and leaves no room for doubt in the end about who won and who lost the elections".

Trump confirmed that he will sign an executive order to "help ensure integrity in the midterm elections" in November 2026, without providing any details about the content of the text.

Trump also anticipated opposition from Democrats to his desire to eliminate mail-in voting, as they, in his description, "are committing unprecedented fraud".

Trump had previously signed an executive order at the end of March aimed at imposing stricter controls on voter registration and several restrictions on mail-in voting.
