Bayern Munich football team announced the fate of their veteran striker Thomas Muller, whose contract expires this season, today, Saturday, as he will leave the team after participating in the Club World Cup in the United States this summer. The German club stated on their website: "Bayern Munich and Thomas Muller, 35 years old, have decided to end their unique 25-year journey together, which has garnered 33 titles, this summer." Muller, born in Bavaria, joined Bayern Munich's academy at the age of 10 in the summer of 2000, and developed remarkably, leaving a historic mark at the club, winning everything possible, and setting a club record of 743 appearances. The historic German champion will honor Muller's wonderful career, among other things, with a special tribute ceremony, and it has been agreed that the winner of the treble twice and World Cup champion will play his final matches with Bayern in the Club World Cup, held in the United States from June 15 to July 13. Muller spent 25 years at the club, winning 33 titles, being the most crowned player with the German league title 12 times, achieving the treble twice with his club, and winning the 2014 World Cup with the German national team. It is unclear whether Muller will continue his career on the field, by moving to another club, or announce his retirement and pursue a managerial role with his childhood club.
