In a new tragedy striking the English sports community, Barnet FC, competing in the second division, announced the death of its young academy player Arash Ghafanmardi at the age of just 18, following a tragic car accident that claimed his life.
The club confirmed in an official statement that the promising player, who had joined Barnet Academy two years ago, was involved in a serious accident from which he could not survive, passing away from his injuries.
