Barcelona's team took a big step towards winning the 2025 Spanish League title after their thrilling victory over their traditional rival Real Madrid in the "Clásico" match in round 35 of La Liga. The match, held at the "Luis Companys Olympic Stadium," ended with Barça's 4-3 win, putting the Catalan team just one win away from securing their 28th title in history. The game started dramatically with Real Madrid taking an early lead with two goals by star Kylian Mbappé, who scored the first goal from a penalty in the 5th minute, then added the second in the 14th minute after a brilliant pass from Vinicius. However, Barcelona refused to surrender and quickly began to close the gap with Eric Garcia scoring Barça's first goal in the 19th minute. Not long after, Lamine Yamal equalized with a fantastic shot in the 32nd minute, and in the 34th minute, Raphinha turned the score in favor of his team after taking advantage of Real's defensive confusion to add the third goal, then added the fourth goal in the 37th minute capitalizing on a grave mistake by Vazquez. Despite the outstanding performance of Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and his saves, Real Madrid couldn't come back into the game. In the second half, pressure continued from both teams, and Mbappé managed to score Real Madrid's third goal in the 70th minute to give his team hope of a comeback. However, despite further attempts by Real, the score remained 4-3 in favor of Barcelona. In the final moments, the match saw several exciting opportunities, with the referee disallowing a goal by Mbappé in the 90+2 minute for offside, as well as canceling another goal by Lopez in the 90+6 minute for a handball. This significant win came to compensate for Barcelona's exit from the Champions League semi-finals after losing to Inter Milan, while Real Madrid continued to struggle in the Champions League after being eliminated in the quarter-finals by Arsenal. Currently, Barcelona tops the league table with 82 points, leading Real Madrid by a 7-point margin, making their victory in the next round against Espanyol enough to officially secure the title.
