The US envoy to Syria, Tom Barrack, affirmed that Syria is considered the ideal model for radical change and hope in the Middle East, steadily moving towards the future.

In a tweet on the "X" platform, Barrack wrote that he met yesterday, Sunday, with the Foreign Minister, Asaad al-Shibani, in Istanbul, praising the steps taken by the Syrian government to achieve peace and prosperity in the country.

He said: "I met with Foreign Minister al-Shibani and his brilliant young team, who are moving steadily towards peace and prosperity, and a new model of comprehensive tolerance that will pave the way for a new Syria, vibrant and flourishing".

He added: "Syria is the ideal geopolitical model for radical change, hope, and promising potential in the complex Middle Eastern puzzle", expressing his gratitude to US President Donald Trump for "his intuition in lifting sanctions and giving this country a real opportunity".
