The Crown Prince of Bahrain Arrives in Cairo to Strengthen Partnership and Sign New Cooperation Agreements

The Crown Prince of Bahrain, Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, arrived in Cairo at the head of a high-level delegation on an official visit aimed at advancing the course of bilateral relations between Egypt and Bahrain to broader horizons.
He was welcomed at Cairo International Airport by the Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, where a formal reception ceremony took place, including the playing of the national anthems of both countries and a review of the honor guard, in the presence of Ambassador Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, the Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt.
It is scheduled that both sides will chair an expanded discussion session today, Tuesday, addressing ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, and sustainable development, in addition to signing a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding that support the strategic partnership between the two countries.
This visit comes as an extension of the historical brotherly relations that bind Cairo and Manama, which have witnessed a qualitative leap in recent years through the signing of packages of agreements, the most notable of which occurred during President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's visit to Bahrain in June 2022, as well as the convening of the joint governmental committee for economic cooperation in December 2023.
Informed sources confirmed that the discussions will include mechanisms for increasing trade exchange, encouraging mutual investments, and supporting the role of the private sector as a key driver of growth, in addition to cooperation in the fields of civil aviation, technology, and urban development.
The visit carries important political dimensions in light of the challenges facing the region, as both countries reaffirm their commitment to coordinating regional positions, foremost of which is supporting the Palestinian cause according to the two-state solution, and enhancing regional security and stability.
