Arrest of 120 activists from the Pakistani opposition party on the second anniversary of Imran Khan's imprisonment

Reuters reported that Pakistani authorities arrested 120 activists from the main opposition party during overnight raids ahead of protests scheduled for today, Tuesday, on the second anniversary of the imprisonment of party leader Imran Khan.
Police officials reported that most of the arrests took place in Lahore, eastern Pakistan, where Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party pledged to organize the largest demonstration and protests in other areas.
For his part, party spokesman Zulfiqar Bukhari stated that the police arrested at least 200 activists from Lahore, adding that the protests will go ahead.
