Arab-Turkish Statement Affirms Support for Syria's Security, Unity, Stability, and Sovereignty

Ten Arab countries and Turkey issued a statement today, Thursday, affirming their support for Syria's security, unity, stability, and sovereignty.

The statement was issued by the following countries: Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Egypt, in addition to Turkey.

The statement rejected all foreign interventions in Syrian affairs, welcoming the recent Sweida agreement and emphasizing the necessity of stopping the shedding of Syrian blood.

The statement also welcomed the Syrian president's commitment to hold accountable all those responsible for violations against the people of Sweida.

The statement affirmed support for all efforts to establish security, state sovereignty, and the rule of law in Sweida and Syrian territories, rejecting violence, sectarianism, and attempts to sow discord, incitement, and hatred.

Furthermore, the countries condemned the repeated Israeli attacks on Syria, emphasizing that Syria's security and stability are pillars of regional security and stability and a common priority.

Additionally, the countries in the statement called on the international community to support the Syrian government in the reconstruction process, and urged the Security Council to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities to ensure Israel's withdrawal from the occupied Syrian territories.
