Saudi Arabia witnesses, on Saturday, wide national celebrations on the occasion of the founding day anniversary, which falls on February 22nd of each year, amidst extensive Arab congratulations.

The founding day is a national occasion that commemorates the establishment of the first Saudi state by Imam Mohammed bin Saud in 1727.

On this occasion, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz said in a post on Twitter on Saturday: "We take pride in the anniversary of the founding of our blessed state three centuries ago, based on security, justice, and pure faith, and its approach has remained steadfast since then, in a country advancing towards leadership in various fields."

A number of Arab leaders and dignitaries extended congratulations to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the occasion of the founding day, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, sent a congratulatory message to King Salman on this occasion.

Similarly, the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, and his deputies, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, sent congratulatory messages to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, also sent two congratulatory messages to the King and Crown Prince, praising the Kingdom's achievements in various civilizational and developmental fields, enhancing its international status.

Similarly, the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa, congratulated King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in two messages, praising the comprehensive civilizational and developmental achievements that have enhanced the Kingdom's regional and international standing.

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman sent a congratulatory message to King Salman on this occasion, wishing further progress and prosperity for the Kingdom and its people.

King Mohammed VI of Morocco, in two messages to King Salman and his Crown Prince, expressed his warm congratulations on this occasion, praising the fraternal relations between the two countries and emphasizing the keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields.

King Abdullah II of Jordan also congratulated King Salman, wishing him good health and further progress and prosperity for the Kingdom's people.

President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine sent a congratulatory message, affirming that the founding day reflects the historical and civilizational depth of the Kingdom, praying for King Salman's success in achieving the aspirations of the Kingdom and its people.

President of the Presidential Council in Yemen, Rashad Al-Alimi, congratulated King Salman and his Crown Prince on the occasion of the founding day.
