"Mardukhai Bravman," who carried out an armed attack on a car in the state of Florida, admitted that he committed the attack believing that the individuals in the vehicle were Palestinians.
Police arrested the attacker following the incident on Sunday, after firing 17 shots at the vehicle in Miami Beach, Florida.
Authorities have charged him with attempted second-degree murder and he has been detained pending court appearance.
According to the American news network "CBS News," Bravman confessed to the police that he shot at two individuals in the moving car because he thought they were Palestinians.
Footage showed the settlers fleeing in their car after being shot, entering a residential building in a panic to seek medical help, with blood visible on one of their clothes.

After police intervention and investigation, the American "Jewish" youth was arrested. During questioning, he immediately confessed that while driving his small truck, he saw two Palestinians, shot at them, and killed them without knowing them.
The shooter works as a plumber in the area and was surprised to find out that the individuals he tried to kill were settlers like him, coming from Israel on a trip to Florida.
Police have not yet commented on whether the attack will be treated as a hate crime or not.
