American Organization Calls on Congress to End Sanctions on Syria

The Syrian American Coalition urged Congress to fully lift the sanctions imposed on Syria, considering that they hinder the Syrian people from obtaining their basic rights.

In a statement from the organization on the "X" platform, it was stated that "Syrian Americans are uniting across various states and communities to raise their voices on behalf of the Syrian people, for a dignified life free from the impacts of sanctions." The statement called on American legislators to take practical steps to end what it described as "harmful measures" that prevent Syrians from regaining their rights and freedoms.

The coalition also expressed its gratitude to partners and supporters of its efforts, affirming that "the strength of the community is manifested when its members unite for the common good."

It is worth noting that the Syrian American Coalition for Peace and Prosperity is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote peace and cultural understanding between Syrians and Americans, as well as support educational and humanitarian initiatives.
