US Intelligence: Israeli Attacks on Iran May Delay Its Nuclear Program by Several Months

US intelligence estimates, according to an official who did not disclose his identity, revealed that recent Israeli attacks on Iran may have hindered the Iranian nuclear program for several months. This was reported in a document published by CNN news network, based on informed sources.
The network also added, citing four sources familiar with the matter, that American intelligence assessments before the attacks indicated that Iran "was not actively seeking to possess nuclear weapons," as reported by Bloomberg news agency today, Tuesday, June 17.
The estimates also concluded that Iran would need "approximately three years" to develop its capability to produce and target nuclear weapons towards specific objectives.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump commented on the recent escalation between Israel and Iran, saying that Tehran has expressed readiness for negotiations. Trump affirmed during a speech on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Canada: "The Iranians want to talk, but they should have done that before."
He continued, saying: "I see that Iran will not win in this war, and they must talk, and they should do so immediately, before it's too late."
