The Hebrew newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported today, Tuesday, that the United States will begin a gradual withdrawal from Syria in the near future.
According to the newspaper, "American security officials have informed the Israeli military establishment of this withdrawal from Syria, which will start within two months."
The newspaper added: "Israel is still pressuring Washington to delay this withdrawal from Syria," and "Israel" fears, according to the newspaper, Turkey's control in case of the United States' withdrawal, over more strategic assets in Syria.
Meanwhile, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced last Wednesday that his country is holding technical-level talks with "Israel" to reduce tensions regarding Syria, but is not moving towards normalizing relations.
The newspaper added: "Israel is still pressuring Washington to delay this withdrawal from Syria," and "Israel" fears, according to the newspaper, Turkey's control in case of the United States' withdrawal, over more strategic assets in Syria.
