Aleppo Governor discusses Palestinian refugees' situation in the province with UNRWA

Aleppo Governor, Engineer Azam Al-Ghareeb, discussed today, Wednesday, with a delegation from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) led by Mervat Abu Rashid, Director of the Agency's North Syria Area, the situation of Palestinian refugees in Aleppo province, and addressing the service, security, and organizational challenges facing the refugee camps and UNRWA offices.

The Governor emphasized during the meeting the depth of relations between the Syrian and Palestinian peoples, stressing the importance of integrating Palestinian refugees into sustainable development plans to support construction and development operations, expressing Aleppo Governorate's commitment to enhancing cooperation with UNRWA to overcome obstacles to its humanitarian work.

On her part, Abu Rashid affirmed UNRWA's commitment to continue providing basic services to Palestinian refugees, expressing her hope to find common solutions to the existing challenges, and thanking Aleppo Governorate for opening channels of dialogue.

This meeting comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to improve living conditions for Palestinian refugees in Aleppo province, which hosts large population gatherings.
