Local sources announced today, Friday, the suspension of eviction procedures for residents of the Al-Sumaria neighborhood in Damascus, allowing them to remain in their homes, following a property dispute over the ownership of several houses built on lands belonging to individuals and others classified as state-owned houses.
According to what special sources reported to Syria TV, the neighborhood chief and residents were officially informed by the Ministries of Defense and Interior of the decision to allow residents to stay and the return of those who had left, following the intervention of the neighborhood committee and the higher committee for civil peace, which followed up on the issue with the relevant authorities.
