Al-Shaibani thanks countries of "Union for the Mediterranean" for supporting Syria

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shaibani thanked the member countries of the "Union for the Mediterranean" for their support for Syria's return to its natural position in this important regional context.

Al-Shaibani wrote on his account on the X platform, "We hope that this step will be a starting point for fruitful cooperation that serves the peoples of the region and enhances stability and common development."

He added: "We express our gratitude to the EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi for their leadership role in mobilizing this support."

He concluded his post with "This solidarity is deeply appreciated and reflects the spirit of regional cooperation and responsibility."
