Al-Hajri renews his demand for direct international protection for the Druze in Syria

Al-Hajri, the spiritual leader of the Druze in Syria, renewed his demand for direct international protection for the Druze in Syria, as reported by the "Syria TV" channel today, Saturday.

Al-Hajri called on the guarantor countries to compel the other party to cease fire, accusing tribal forces of violating the agreement.

The Syrian presidency announced today an agreement to cease fire in As-Suwayda. Meanwhile, the province has been witnessing intense clashes for several days between lawless groups and Bedouin tribes, amid international calls to adhere to the ceasefire, enhance stability, and preserve the unity and sovereignty of Syria.
