After Opening Humanitarian Corridors, Egypt Sends Urgent Aid Convoys to Gaza

Egyptian channel "Al-Qahira Al-Ikhbariya" reported today, Sunday 27th of July, that humanitarian aid convoys have started moving from Egyptian territories towards the Gaza Strip, amidst escalating international warnings of the humanitarian crisis worsening and the spread of famine among the population of the Strip.
This step came in conjunction with the announcement by the Israeli army earlier today of the opening of "humanitarian corridors" to enable convoys belonging to the United Nations and other international organizations to bring food and medicine into Gaza.
The Israeli army, in a statement issued today, temporarily suspended military operations in three areas in the Gaza Strip: Al-Mawasi area, Deir Al-Balah, and Gaza City, starting from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM local time, "until further notice". The statement described this step as part of efforts to alleviate the humanitarian suffering in the Strip.
The statement also indicated that the pre-determined safe routes will remain open daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM to facilitate the movement of civilians and aid convoys.
On the other hand, the Israeli army announced the resumption of airdropping aid over Gaza in cooperation with international relief organizations, where seven platforms containing essential items such as flour, sugar, and canned goods will be distributed through relevant international entities.
