After iPhone 16e: What can we expect from Apple's iPhone 17e?

In a new step to continue offering its innovative phones, Apple earlier in 2025 launched its new phone "iPhone 16e," adding a new budget-friendly category to the iPhone series. Despite being a simplified version of the "iPhone 16," it comes with an enhanced design and powerful capabilities, making it an attractive option in the budget markets, distinct from the previous dominance of the "iPhone SE" in the budget category. However, with this release, many wonder: "Will Apple continue to introduce phones in the 'e' category annually?" Although the company has not made a definitive decision on this matter, there are indications of the possibility of this category continuing in the near future, especially if Apple decides to continue meeting the growing market demand for budget smartphones. Expectations suggest that Apple may introduce the "iPhone 17e" at the same time it previously launched the "iPhone SE" in late winter or early spring, providing iPhone enthusiasts in markets requiring reasonably priced phones the opportunity to benefit from Apple's latest technologies while maintaining relatively low costs. With increasing competition in the budget smartphone market, Apple's continuation of offering phones in the "e" category seems like a logical step. This move would serve as a strong incentive for the company's sales in huge markets like China, allowing it to enhance its position among users seeking budget-friendly options with excellent performance.
