Russian President Vladimir Putin hosts U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff at the Kremlin.
Serious discussions of great international importance lasted for three hours, amid anticipation of what outcomes may arise.
Details are scarce, except for the confirmation from Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian president's special representative for investment and economic cooperation via X, that "dialogue will prevail," in a statement following the lengthy meeting.
The two sides discussed issues of economic cooperation and the outstanding political files, including the Ukraine issue, which is the basis of the disagreement.
