The industrial city in Hasya, Homs Governorate, witnessed the export of the first Syrian industrial shipment to the United States after a 15-year hiatus.
The shipment included four containers of 'Stretch Ally' packaging materials with a total weight of 100 tons, reflecting an important indicator of the gradual return of Syrian products to global markets and the renewal of international confidence in the quality of local industry and the investment environment in Syria.
This step is considered a remarkable development in the reality of Syrian exports, especially coming from an industrial city that played a pivotal role during the crisis years and has now become a launching point for industries capable of external competition.
This achievement is seen as a sign of the beginning of a new stage of economic recovery and commercial openness, especially after many years of siege and sanctions that led to a significant decline in export activity.
The return of Hasya to the international export map, specifically to the American market, reflects an improvement in the local investment environment due to the developments in infrastructure and new facilitations provided by the government to encourage industrial production.
This event also opens the door to broader prospects for the entry of other Syrian products into international markets in the upcoming period.
