Activating the police in Al-Suwayda in accordance with the directives of religious authorities and elders.

The governor of Al-Suwayda, Mustafa Al-Bakour, announced on Sunday, May 4, the activation of the police work in the province, in implementation of the statement issued by religious authorities, dignitaries, and faction leaders.
A statement released by the governor's office on the official "Telegram" channel stated that "all police personnel are from Al-Suwayda, except for the police chief and administrative staff."
Al-Bakour explained that "the police and security forces operate under the Ministry of Interior and are supervised by the direct police chief," indicating that "work has actually begun to secure the Damascus-Al-Suwayda road, with security patrols deployed to enhance stability and protect civilians."
The governor warned that "any attempt to target civilians or security personnel will be met with a firm response," without neglecting any threats that may affect public security.
It is worth mentioning that local police forces were deployed in the town of "Al-Soura Al-Kabeera" on Sunday, following the withdrawal of the public security forces that were previously stationed there.
