Abduction of a Cleric in Bazman, Iran Amidst Ambiguity Surrounding the Incident

The city of Bazman in Sistan and Baluchestan province in southeastern Iran witnessed an abduction on Friday evening targeting cleric Majid Fallahpour by unknown armed men.

According to his son, who was with him at the time of the incident, the gunmen intercepted their path after he participated in a religious gathering and forcibly took his father into their vehicle to an unknown location.

No group has claimed responsibility for the abduction so far, while Iranian authorities confirmed that they have begun their investigations to uncover the details of the incident and identify the perpetrators.
