Kidnapping of 4 volunteers from the Red Crescent while transporting aid in the countryside of Daraa

Armed men kidnapped four volunteers from the Syrian Red Crescent yesterday, Tuesday, after intercepting a humanitarian aid convoy in the eastern countryside of Daraa, which was on its way from the city of Jaramana in the Damascus countryside to the governorate of Sweida.
According to activists on social media and local news sources, the armed men detained the convoy, which was loaded with relief materials, and kidnapped seven volunteers, before releasing three of them and keeping four in custody: Abed Abu Fakhr, Fidaa Azzam, Yamen Mamdouh Al-Sahnaoui, and Radwan Zaid Al-Sahnaoui.
This incident is a serious escalation against humanitarian activities in the region, as the Syrian Red Crescent continues its efforts to distribute aid to the residents of Sweida, who are experiencing difficult living conditions and a deterioration in services.
So far, no party has claimed responsibility for the operation, and neither the organization nor local authorities have issued any official comment regarding the incident.
