The Russian submarine, part of the Pacific Fleet, secretly moved to a specific area before launching a Kalibr cruise missile at a coastal target over 1100 kilometers away in the Kura training range on the Kamchatka Peninsula. In the second stage, the Krasnoyarsk submarine identified a simulated enemy submarine and attacked it using anti-submarine missiles, successfully hitting the simulated target, according to Russian officials. The Krasnoyarsk, a Yasen-M class submarine, entered service in December 2023 and is currently stationed in Kamchatka, as stated by the ministry.
