In a new escalation of tension on the Lebanese front, the Israeli army announced today, Wednesday, the execution of a "precise strike" targeting a prominent element in the armament and transportation unit affiliated with Hezbollah, in the Qasr area in northern Lebanon near the Syrian border.

The army affirmed in its statement that the targeted individual "repeatedly violated agreements between Israel and Lebanon," prompting the execution of the airstrike following a series of Israeli military operations in the region.

According to Lebanese sources, an Israeli drone targeted a small truck belonging to Hezbollah in the village of Qasr, resulting in the killing of two party members, while the National News Agency reported the targeting of a car on the Hermel-Qasr road, resulting in one fatality and one injury.

Simultaneously with the strike, the skies over the capital Beirut and its southern suburbs, as well as towns in the south and Bekaa, witnessed intensive Israeli drone flights, indicating ongoing escalation.

This development comes amid continued Israeli presence in five hills inside Lebanese territory, despite the expiration of the deadline requested by Israel to complete its withdrawal under the ceasefire agreement, raising questions about the next step in the escalating confrontation between the two parties.
