A wide tree planting campaign titled "Our Streets Green" was launched today in the cities and countryside of Hama province, with the participation of the governor, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sahyan, along with official and popular figures, villagers, and residents of towns. This initiative is part of "Hama Revives Anew," which has been ongoing in the province since the second of last February to improve the service and social conditions in all areas.
The tree planting campaign aims to enhance the aesthetic appearance of public squares and streets in the cities, strengthen green spaces in the province's countryside, and restore environmental balance after years of war and destruction that negatively impacted the environment, especially in areas that were deliberately destroyed and had extensive tree cutting by the former regime.
On the first day of this campaign, around 7,000 forest seedlings were planted.
