44 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting the Gaza Strip since Thursday morning, including 23 members of one family, following the bombing of their house east of the Bureij refugee camp in the midst of the besieged area suffering from a suffocating blockade and ongoing war for over 600 days. The Civil Defense in Gaza confirmed the casualties in the airstrikes that targeted several areas, while the Medical Supplies Director, Mohammed al-Mughayer, mentioned the presence of wounded and missing individuals due to the shelling, especially at the Al-Qarina family's house. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced the killing of 9 people and the injury of over 60 others within 48 hours by Israeli army fire near aid distribution centers in Rafah, where one person was killed as the crowd seeking aid was shot at. Other areas such as Jabalia in the north and Khan Yunis in the south of the Strip also witnessed casualties due to airstrikes targeting houses and children's nurseries, including 7 victims, among them two girls, and numerous injuries. These airstrikes come amidst the Israeli army's closure of crossings and prevention of humanitarian aid entry, further escalating the risk of worsening the famine crisis threatening the lives of Gaza's children. The tragedy worsens amid international silence, with the Strip suffering under continuous bombardment leading to extensive destruction and tragic loss of lives.
