3 European offers to install a new radar system at Damascus Airport.

The advisor to the President of the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority, Samah Arabi, stated that Syria has received offers from 3 European companies to install a new radar system at Damascus International Airport. He mentioned that both Damascus and Aleppo airports will be ready to receive and operate flights fully within 6 months.
In statements to "Al Arabiya Al Hadath" channel, Arabi reported that the Civil Aviation Authority is preparing for the necessary requirements to receive flights, adding: "Damascus airport was rehabilitated within two months of Syria's liberation, but it is currently operating at a certain capacity, not the same as it was 14 years ago."
Arabi pointed out that Syrian airports are facing a shortage of necessary navigational equipment, explaining that the technical team of the authority is currently working on air navigation equipment and reinstalling important aviation devices for aircraft landings.
He also mentioned that next week, a delegation from 3 European companies will visit Damascus to present offers for installing a new radar system, emphasizing that this system is "very important for reopening Syrian airspace and serving incoming aircraft."
