Sources revealed the death of the Irish boxer "Johnny Conny" at the age of 28.
The boxer passed away a week after suffering a serious brain injury while defending his super featherweight title on February 1st.
"Conny," who remained in intensive care, suffered a brain hemorrhage after his fight against Welsh boxer "Nathan Howells" at Ulster Hall in Belfast. The referee stopped the fight in the ninth round, and he was then taken to the hospital.
"Conny" won the title in November 2023 by knocking out "Liam Gaynor" in the first round, but he had to stay away from the ring for a year due to a hand injury.
He returned to the ring last October with a victory over "Tambila Maharusi" from Tanzania.
