Suriye Sosyal İşler Bakanı: Şiddeti ve sorumlularını cezalandırmayı sağlayacak yasaları önererek mücadele ediyoruz.

Video footage surfaced like wildfire, sparking outrage among social and governmental circles in Syria, as it depicted a man brutally torturing his underage nephew in a manner that was inhumane and violated the child's rights.
Syrian governmental and security agencies swiftly moved to rescue the abused boy from his uncle, who was seen receiving necessary treatment and care at the hospital. The man responsible for the act was arrested and subsequently imprisoned by the authorities.
Minister of Social Affairs, Hind Kabawat, emphasized that protecting children from all forms of violence and abuse is not just a legal duty, but a humanitarian and ethical responsibility that falls on everyone's shoulders.
Minister Kabawat reiterated in a statement released on the ministry's Telegram channel regarding the child abuse incident in Hama, the Ministry's firm commitment to condemning violence in general, and against children in particular.
The Minister stated: We are working on combating violence and holding those responsible for it accountable through proposing necessary legislation, developing mechanisms for child protection, in coordination with local and international partners, to ensure a safe environment that preserves the child's dignity and nurtures their capabilities.
Minister Kabawat added: We aim to enhance awareness programs, psychological and social support, and launch initiatives that engage families and communities in protecting children and enhancing their well-being.
The Minister pointed out that children are Syria's true wealth, and they will not have a secure future unless we provide them with the security, respect, and care they deserve.
Minister Kabawat expressed gratitude from the Ministry of Social Affairs to the Governor of Hama and the Ministry of Interior for their swift response to the child abuse incident that circulated on social media, and the Ministry's support in taking the necessary measures to protect the child.
