The Israeli army announces carrying out a military operation in southern Syria.

The Israeli army carried out a wide military operation in the Tseel area in southern Syria on Thursday, April 3, as announced by the military spokesperson Avichay Adraee, confirming that the operation resulted in seizing weapons and destroying what he described as "terrorist" infrastructure.
Adraee explained in an official statement that forces from the 474th Brigade (Golan) carried out the operation at night, seizing combat equipment and destroying facilities belonging to armed groups.
Adraee also reported that armed elements opened fire on Israeli forces during the operation, prompting a ground and air response that resulted in the killing of some of them, without any losses on the Israeli army's side.
The military spokesperson emphasized that the presence of weapons and threats in southern Syria poses a direct danger to Israel's security, affirming that his country "will not tolerate" such threats.
Simultaneously with the operation, western Daraa countryside witnessed intense shelling targeting various areas around the city of Nawa, Tal Al-Jumou' and Harsh Al-Jabeeliya, using Israeli helicopters, drones, and artillery, resulting in the death of at least nine civilians and injuring dozens, according to the Huran Liberation Assembly.
Rescue operations are still ongoing in the Harsh area from which Israeli forces withdrew on Thursday morning, with expectations of an increase in casualties due to the continued search for missing persons and critical cases among the injured at the Nawa hospital.
The Israeli airstrikes have sparked widespread anger among the residents of Nawa, who considered it a deliberate targeting of the region's youth after they attempted to resist the military incursion in Harsh Tseel, despite responding to distress calls before the clashes erupted.
