The General Establishment for Electricity Transmission and Distribution has issued a decision to reduce the price per kilowatt-hour for exempted lines from rationing partially or completely. The Director of the establishment, Engineer Khaled Abu Di, stated that the price reduction decision includes cities and industrial areas by 21% for industrial and commercial sectors, making the price 1500 Syrian pounds per kilowatt-hour. Abu Di mentioned that the decision aims to support and enhance productivity in factories and industrial facilities, alleviate financial burdens on the industrial sector and economic establishments, boost economic growth in Syria, improve the quality of electricity services provided to industrial areas, and encourage investment in the industrial sector.
