Syrian security arrests official of "Iranian Cultural Center" in Deir ez-Zor.

The General Security Administration in Deir ez-Zor province, eastern Syria, has succeeded in arresting "Rashid Mohammed Saeed Al-Faisal," responsible for the "Iranian Cultural Center" in Al-Bukamal city.

Official sources indicated that the detainee was a former fighter with the Lebanese Hezbollah militia, with previous involvement in battles within the province. He also has close ties to the Iranian criminal "Hajj Asghar," a prominent leader in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, who led Iranian militias in the Al-Bukamal region for years, accused of war crimes and drug trafficking.

On another note, Major Diaa Al-Omar, Director of Security Administration in Deir ez-Zor, announced the successful implementation of a security operation resulting in the arrest of four leaders of armed groups affiliated with remnants of the former regime.

Al-Omar explained that the operation followed intensive investigations proving the detainees' involvement in planning to target security and governmental facilities to destabilize the region, in coordination with rogue elements on the Syrian coast. He emphasized that security efforts continue to pursue criminal elements threatening the province's security.

Official sources also revealed the identities of the four detainees: "Ali Thalaj, Fuad Abdul Khalef, Abdul Karim Al-Mohammed, and Aysar Al-Ayoub," who were planning to carry out sabotage acts against state institutions.

This comes as part of a series of security and military operations carried out by Syrian forces in cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and the Internal Security Forces, targeting individuals involved in previous crimes while being part of armed formations affiliated with the former regime, leading to the arrest of several suspects accused of violating civilians' rights.
