Security tension in the Nairab refugee camp in Aleppo after clashes with security forces.

Violent clashes erupted in the Neirab refugee camp for Palestinian refugees in Aleppo on Wednesday night, April 2, between a group of young men and a patrol belonging to the public security, leading to a sudden escalation and the deployment of security reinforcements to restore order.
According to local sources, the clashes broke out after a group of young men attempted to seize weapons from the security forces, resulting in an exchange of gunfire, the death of a camp resident, and injuries to two others, without confirming the identity of the deceased as a civilian or one of the attackers.
"Sham Network" quoted eyewitnesses saying that tension started as a dispute between young men from the camp and others from the neighboring Neirab village in the playground, before security intervened and fired shots in the air to disperse the conflict. However, the situation deteriorated when some young men seized the security forces' weapons, prompting the deployment of intense reinforcements and the imposition of a curfew to restore calm.
Local sources reported that security forces seized quantities of weapons and ammunition after the clashes, and videos showed additional reinforcements arriving at the camp. Camp residents called for urgent intervention from social organizations to contain the crisis and prevent its escalation.
On the other hand, Major Mohammed Abdel Ghani, the director of internal security in Aleppo, confirmed the arrest of several armed individuals wanted for involvement in rioting, indicating that security operations continue to pursue fugitives and restore stability to the area.
