The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned on Thursday the Israeli air and ground aggression on Syria, calling on the international community to take immediate action to stop the attacks. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated in a statement that Tehran "condemns the Zionist military air and ground aggression on Syria and the destruction of its civilian, research, scientific, and defense facilities." Referring to the warning issued by the Islamic Republic against the Zionists exploiting the situation in Syria to expand their occupation of it and other countries in the region. The spokesperson added that "the Zionist attacks on Syria targeted its most important facilities." This statement comes after the Israeli airstrikes on Syrian territory on Wednesday, resulting in the death of 9 people and the destruction of Hama military airport, which was hit by more than 14 airstrikes. Israel stated that its attacks were a response to a threat to Turkey not to build military bases in Syria.
