Governor of Tartous, Mr. Ahmed Al-Shami, met yesterday evening, Saturday, April 5th, with a team from the Fact-Finding Committee on the recent events in the province. According to the Tartous Governorate's media office, the meeting took place at the General Secretariat building of the province, attended by the governor, a team from the Fact-Finding Committee, as well as officials from the Ministries of Interior and Defense. The media office stated that the meeting was held to hear the committee's testimonies regarding the recent events in the province. Following violations in the Syrian coastal region and civilian casualties, the Syrian Arab Republic Presidency announced the formation of a "Committee for Investigation and Fact-Finding" composed of 7 individuals. The presidential decree outlined several tasks, including uncovering the reasons, circumstances, and details that led to the events, investigating violations and attacks on civilians, state institutions, security forces, and the army, and referring the perpetrators to the judiciary.
