The fact-finding committee team has arrived in Tartus province and held a meeting with the governor of Tartus, Ahmed Al-Shami, and officials from the Ministries of Interior and Defense to hear their testimonies regarding the recent events in the province. The Syrian coastal area witnessed violence on March 7 and 8, with Syrian authorities accusing armed groups loyal to former President Bashar al-Assad of instigating it by launching deadly attacks on their forces, resulting in the deaths of many civilians.
