US Immigration Authorities Arrest Hundreds of Workers During Raid on Battery Factory in Georgia

US immigration authorities conducted a large-scale raid on a factory belonging to "Hyundai" and "LG" in the state of Georgia, resulting in the arrest of hundreds of workers, including dozens of South Koreans.
In a surprise operation, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement raided an electric vehicle battery factory, where a large number of workers were arrested. The "French News Agency" reported that a source, who requested anonymity, said: "US immigration authorities arrested about 300 South Koreans during a large-scale raid on a battery factory belonging to "Hyundai" and "LG" in the state of Georgia."
On the other hand, the South Korean news agency "Yonhap" provided a larger total number for the operations, reporting that US immigration authorities arrested up to 450 workers at the electric vehicle battery factory.
To detail the total number, the same source clarified to the French News Agency, confirming that among the 450 detained, "about 300 are South Koreans."
The fate of the detainees and the specific legal reason for the operation remain officially unannounced so far.
