On Monday, June 2, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that any potential nuclear agreement between the United States and Iran would not allow Tehran to enrich uranium, as stated in a post on his "Truth Social" platform.

Trump emphasized in his post: "Under our potential agreement, we will not allow any uranium enrichment!", reflecting the U.S. stance in the ongoing negotiations, with enrichment being a major point of contention between the two countries, according to Agence France-Presse.

Iran criticized the recent U.S. proposal, with a senior Iranian official describing it as "dismantling and unrealistic," stating that it "clearly contradicts the recent agreement reached during the fifth round of talks." The official stressed that enrichment is a "red line" for Tehran.

In a related context, CNN reported warnings from informed sources that the positive momentum seen in the indirect negotiations between the two parties in previous rounds is "approaching collapse," especially given the clear divergence in positions.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during a visit to Cairo, stated: "If the goal is to deprive Iran of its peaceful activities, then certainly there will be no agreement," reflecting the continued tension between the two sides.

It is worth noting that Iran and the United States have held five rounds of negotiations through Omani mediation in recent weeks, without achieving significant progress so far.
