United Nations: Our ability to deliver aid in Sweida "extremely limited"

Reuters quoted UN spokesman William Spindler as saying today, Friday, that our ability to deliver aid in Sweida is "extremely limited".

The United Nations announced the displacement of more than 2000 families from conflict areas in Sweida, with the number increasing, confirming that the commission evacuated all 15 of its staff from the Sweida countryside for security reasons.

The commission pointed to water shortages, overcrowding in hospitals, and the difficulty of supporting shelter centers.

The United Nations also called on all parties to allow immediate access to humanitarian aid.
