The Israeli army enhances its readiness for an expanded combat phase in Gaza by calling up 60,000 reservists

As part of the escalation of military operations, the Israeli army announced the call-up of 60,000 reservists in preparation for expanding the scope of fighting in the Gaza Strip. This step came as part of intensive logistical and operational preparations revealed by the military establishment.
The Israeli military spokesperson, Avichai Adraee, stated via the "X" platform that the preparations included providing fighters with "combat means, personal equipment, and complete tactical gear, according to their missions." He also clarified that "the technology and logistics department established air-conditioned complexes for accommodation alongside infrastructure for water, electricity, and toilets, to provide the best conditions for soldiers during their stay."
On the other hand, Adraee pointed out that technology and maintenance personnel in the southern command are carrying out "complex repairs under fire" for armored vehicles and combat machinery, while fighters continue intensive training on urban and open area combat "to enhance their readiness before executing upcoming missions."
For his part, Israeli Chief of Staff, Major General Eyal Zamir, confirmed that the army "will intensify and deepen the fighting," emphasizing that Israeli forces "will not stop the war until the battle is resolved." He added in a speech to the reservists: "Hamas will not find any place to escape to," indicating that the forces "have begun to enter areas in Gaza that they have not previously entered."
The Israeli army has carried out its raids on the eastern and northern neighborhoods of Gaza City, targeting homes on Tunnel Street, and continuously bombarding the Sabra and Zeitoun neighborhoods. The bombing of a house in the Daraj neighborhood resulted in the deaths of 11 Palestinians, most of whom were children, while an entire family of 7 members was killed in another bombing.
It is noteworthy that Israeli Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, approved in late August the army's plan to attack Gaza and call up about 60,000 reservists. The army recently classified the city as a "dangerous combat zone," confirming that evacuating it from residents is "inevitable."
In contrast, the International Committee of the Red Cross described the plans for mass evacuation as "not only unfeasible but also incomprehensible," considering that a complete evacuation of the city is "impossible."
