The Supreme Election Committee Collaborates with Civil Society Organizations to Enhance the Integrity of the Electoral Process

The Supreme Election Committee for the People's Council signed a memorandum of understanding with five civil society organizations, in a step aimed at enhancing joint cooperation to ensure the highest standards of integrity and transparency in the electoral process.
The list of partner organizations, according to what was announced by the official channel of the committee on the "Telegram" application, includes: Stability Support Unit (SSU), Tomorrow Organization (TDA), Local Communities and Awareness Unit (LACU), Civil Society Advancement Organization (GLOCA), and the Syrian Networks Association (SNL).
Under the memorandum of understanding, these organizations commit to "conducting training sessions and workshops for members of the subcommittees and electoral bodies, in addition to awareness campaigns to inform voters of their rights and voting mechanisms, and providing technical expertise in areas of resolving minor disputes, and ensuring the electoral process proceeds transparently".
As part of implementing the agreement, an intensive training program for the subcommittees has been approved, which will be conducted on the Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays corresponding to the 6th, 7th, and 8th of this month. The program will be organized "at a rate of one training day for each committee in its governorate", ensuring that training reaches all areas "directly and effectively".
