Saudi Foreign Minister Speaks with Marco Rubio about Syria and Israeli Aggression
In a phone call between Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his American counterpart Marco Rubio, Prince Faisal emphasized the Kingdom's strong condemnation of Israeli aggressions against Syria and its interference in its internal affairs.
He stressed the importance of respecting Syria's independence and sovereignty, calling for an immediate halt to these aggressions that threaten the region's security and stability.

The Saudi Minister also highlighted the need to unite efforts to support the Syrian government led by President Ahmed Al-Shar'a in achieving security and restoring the rule of law throughout Syrian territories, ensuring the country's unity and promoting civil peace.

Prince Faisal praised the United States' efforts in supporting Syria's security and stability, while Saudi Arabia's representative to the United Nations, Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil, called for an immediate halt to Israeli aggressions, warning of their negative impact on international efforts to reach a comprehensive settlement in Syria, and emphasizing his country's rejection of any external intervention in Syria's internal affairs.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the repeated Israeli aggressions without restraint require a firm international stance to hold Israel accountable, urging the UN Security Council to activate international accountability mechanisms to curb these violations that endanger the region's security and stability.

In a related context, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed the measures taken by Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shar'a to contain the recent events in Syria, expressing the Kingdom's confidence in the Syrian government's ability to achieve security and stability.
