Saudi Arabia to Host the Second Edition of the Gulf Electronic Sports League

The Saudi Arabian Electronic Sports Federation is preparing to host the second edition of the "Gulf Electronic Sports League" championship presented by "Genesis", the Korean luxury car manufacturer.
As the date for the second edition of the championship approaches, fans of electronic games and sports in Saudi Arabia and the region are gearing up to watch major competitions at the SEF Arena in the capital Riyadh. The competitions will take place over two days (July 21 and 22), featuring the games EA FC25 and Street Fighter 6, with a total prize pool of 100,000 Saudi riyals, 50,000 riyals for each championship.
This year's edition of the "Gulf Electronic Sports League" championship comes after the success of its first edition held on June 27-28, 2024, in Riyadh, featuring the games Rocket League and Tekken 8. The championship is the most prominent event in the Gulf region, with elite names in the world of electronic sports participating.
The CEO of the Saudi Arabian Electronic Sports Federation, Turki Al-Fawzan, emphasized that this hosting confirms the federation's commitment to developing a comprehensive and sustainable system for electronic sports, supporting talents, and organizing the strongest events and championships. He added: "We are pleased to host the Gulf Electronic Sports League for the second consecutive year after a first edition distinguished by competition and memorable moments in the history of Gulf electronic sports. We look forward to holding a promising edition with the participation of elite electronic sports players from the sister Gulf countries, and to witnessing the support and passion of the gaming and electronic sports community in the region."
