Saudi Arabia and Pakistan Sign Joint Strategic Defense Agreement

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan signed a joint strategic defense agreement on Wednesday, during a meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Riyadh.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the agreement states that any aggression against either country will be considered aggression against both, enhancing mutual deterrence and close defense cooperation between the two parties.
A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister of Pakistan indicated that the agreement reflects Riyadh and Islamabad's commitment to enhancing their mutual security and contributing to regional and international stability and peace.
The two sides also held an official discussion session that addressed the bilateral relations extending over eight decades, ways to expand the strategic partnership, as well as regional and international developments and issues of common interest.
