English international Nuni Madueke confirmed his departure from Chelsea today, as British media reports linked the winger with a move to Arsenal, the local competitor in the English Premier League, before the 2025-2026 season.
The 23-year-old player bid farewell to the club through his Instagram account. Madueke, born in North London, joined Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023 and has since participated in 92 matches in all competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing nine assists.
Madueke wrote on Instagram: "Dear Chelsea Football Club, I would like to thank you for the past three years or so... To my teammates, thank you for everything. I leave with love and admiration for you, my comrades".
He added: "To Enzo Mariscia (Chelsea coach), it has been a pleasure playing under your leadership. Thank you for your efforts in developing me as a player and as a person. Finally, thank you to all Chelsea fans. Thank you for the love, praise, and criticism, I appreciate it all. I leave here carrying beautiful memories with me".
It is worth mentioning that Madueke participated in five out of seven matches for Chelsea in the Club World Cup in the United States, but he did not play in the team's 3-0 victory in the final against Paris Saint-Germain, the champions of the UEFA Champions League, last Sunday.
