President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during a phone call with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin today, Friday, that Turkey aims to ensure the stability and security of Syria and achieve the development of the country as soon as possible.

Erdogan also emphasized during the call that the clashes following the withdrawal of Syrian security forces from the province of Al-Suwayda pose a threat to the entire region.

The Turkish president pointed out the importance of Israel not violating Syria's sovereignty.
